What’s up guys? Shiningbind here with another episode of Shiningbind Band Talk. If you want to take a moment, please head over to Instagram and click the follow button @shiningbindbandtalk. This week’s episode is quite an interesting one for all you classic rock fans where this week, we are diving into the song “Nobody’s Fool” by the glam metal band, Cinderella. Now let’s dive in.

The song was released in 1986 as the second single from the band’s debut album, Night Songs. This power ballad charted at number thirteen on the Billboard 100 and also charted at number 25 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks in 1987. Now, let’s go into analyzing it.

So this song I feel doesn’t have quite the balance sound wise where personally, if one pays close attention, the vocals sound a little drowned out where the guitar playing is a little too loud. However, despite its simple, yet complex sound and not as great quality, it is quite catchy where if one closes their eyes to listen to it for the first time, there’s that distinct sound in the intro that leads to the vocals. Tom Keifer has that voice where it can reach some high notes, especially in the middle of the song. Hell, I remember singing this song on karaoke, and it was a little too high for me. I remember having to play the song over and over to be able to hear the lyrics correctly since the sound quality is not quite crystal clear. Overall, it catches my attention because it is unique and the song stands out from their other work.

Overall, I give this song a 7 out of 10 because although it’s not that unique nowadays, but for that time, it was, especially with glam metal being mainstream at that time. However, I like the complex feel from it also, so be sure to check it out. Anyways, that’s all for now until next time on Shiningbind Band Talk. Peace out!
